Sophie Eloquin - Solicitor to the Inquiry
Sophie Eloquin is a lawyer on secondment to the Inquiry from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). She was called to the Bar in 2000 and was a member of 13 KBW, practising in criminal law, until 2007 when she joined the Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office (now part of the CPS); as part of the Proceeds of Crime Unit she specialised in dealing with the recovery of the proceeds of large scale frauds, drug and excise importations.
Katie Laidlaw - Assistant Solicitor
Katie Laidlaw is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor from New Zealand and a graduate of the University of Otago School of Law. Katie has previously worked as Assistant Counsel and a Business Adviser for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and as a Project Manager for The Treasury Solicitor's Department in London. She has been working with the Inquiry since November 2008 and was the Inquiry's Senior Paralegal before becoming Assistant Solicitor in January 2010.
Thomas Foley - Associate Solicitor to the Inquiry
Thomas Foley is a dual-qualified solicitor and attorney from New York and a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law. Thomas previously served as both Judicial Assistant and Lawyer to the Civil Appeals Office of the Court of Appeal, being the first United States citizen to hold both positions. Thomas also served as the assistant solicitor on the Inquest into the Deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Mr Dodi Al Fayed.
